Chilli, of TLC, goes to VH1 in Search of Love
Saturday, March 6, 2010
Apparently, VH1 is not done with the reality dating shows that they have become famous for. Last summer, a contestant on "Megan wants a Millionaire" was charged for murder and he committed suicide. Not only did VH1 pull the show from their schedule, but they also pulled the third season of "I Love Money." Following those series of events, the network said that it was going to cut back on those types of reality shows.
But, after the success of "For The Love of Ray J 2," VH1 decided to stick with what works. The most-recent heartbroken star that they are working with is Chilli. She has experience in reality television. In 2005, she, along with group-mate, T-Boz hosted a competition-based reality series on UPN that searched for a new third member of TLC. Chilli will be taking that experience with her into her new show.
Aside from her music career with TLC, Chilli is probably best-known for dating R&B star, Usher. Recently, he has been going through some relationship troubles of his own. He divorced his wife of two years, Tameka Foster, last year and the divorce was the inspiration for his album, Raymond v. Raymond. Despite her ex being single, Chilli does not plan on reuniting with him. Instead, she has taken to VH1 to have them give her a mansion full of 20 new men for her to choose from. This season, Chilli will be receiving relationship advice from her good friends, T-Boz and Missy Elliott.
The new show, "What Chilli Wants," will hit VH1 on April 11, 2010 at 10:00 pm.
