During the days of the George W. Bush administration, many would have had a hard time believing Condoleezza Rice would eventually do a sitcom. Many moves of the Bush insiders have come as surprises over the past few years. Both Rice and the other former Secretary of State, Colin Powell, loosened up on their political views.

Rice came off as stiff to many people during her time working for the Bush administration. But, in the time since she has moved away from Washington, DC, Condoleezza Rice has lightened up, joking with Tom Joyner on morning radio shows. Rice will soon be taking her act on the road, once again.

NBC's hit sitcom, "30 Rock," has been going strong for five years. The show features Tina Fey, who rose to worldwide fame in 2008 for her Sarah Palin impressions. Already having political roots, "30 Rock" has been looking for new years to attract higher ratings. During the first season, Alec Baldwin's character said he was dating a "high-ranking African-American woman in the Bush administration."

Obviously a running joke, he was referring to Condoleezza Rice. Now, Rice will guest star on the series and she has already started filming. "30 Rock" airs on Thursdays at 9:30 on NBC.
