Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Regina King are Engaged

These two icons of black entertainment have been dating for some time now. Malcolm-Jamal Warner is best known for his role on "The Cosby Show" as Theo Huxtable. Regina King is best known for her role on "227" as Brenda Jenkins. Warner dated actress Michelle Thomas, who died of cancer.

Following the death of Thomas, in 1998, Warner decided to stay away from relationships. Regina King, on the other hand, has been married and has a son. She was married for ten years to Ian Alexander. They divorced in 2006 after she revealed he had abused and cheated on her.

In 2009, Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Regina King found each other. Their relationship has blossomed over the past year and a half. Despite both being public figures, they have managed to keep their relationship out of the spotlight. One thing Warner learned from Bill Cosby was to keep the media away from his personal life.

That bit of advice, along with so much more, has kept Malcolm-Jamal Warner grounded for the most part, as his career has taken what most consider to be an odd turn. Regina King, however, stars in TNT's hit series, "Southland," and in the Adult Swim hit, "The Boondocks." Earlier today, via Twitter, the couple announced they were going to be married in the near future.

"The Boondocks" to return in May

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

After a two-year hiatus, "The Boondocks" will be returning to Adult Swim this May. The series creator, Aaron McGruder, said that the show, which was on a two-year hiatus, will return in May as opposed to March. For the past few years, "The Boondocks" have been one of the most-popular shows in the programming block. Despite all of this, the show has not received the proper treatment.

Regina King, the voice of Huey and Riley Freeman said that the series could do a lot better if it were not run by media conglomerate, Sony. She said that if she had the money to do so that she would take "The Boondocks" off of their hands. Had she been in control, King promised that the show would have many more episodes and no more two-year hiatuses.

Even with the two-year hiatus, "The Boondocks" still sell very well with DVDs and other merchandising. The actual premiere date of the third season has yet to be announced.
