As one third of TLC, T-Boz rose to fame in the 1990s. Years have passed, but T-Boz is still one of the big names in the entertainment industry. Throughout her career, T-Boz has openly discussed her sickle cell disease.
When she was a child, T-Boz was diagnosed with the sickle cell disease. Even with the disease, she still rose to superstardom, being a part of one of the biggest girl groups.
July starts the African-American Bone Marrow awareness month and T-Boz is encouraging more African-American bone marrow donors.
T-Boz has become the spokesperson for Be the Match, a non-profit organization. Be the Match links patients with donors to see if their bone marrow could possibly be a match.
The TLC singer recently had a relatively large tumor removed, which was close to her brain.
