Two years ago, Kanye West practically threw his career away with one move. West made a name for himself, early in his career, being an outspoken media figure. Kanye West ended up taking things too far when he called out Taylor Swift. West felt Beyonce was more deserving of an award Swift won.

For the remainder of 2009, Kanye West was portrayed as a villain in the media. Due to his bad press, Kanye West decided to take a break from the media. Sources close to West say he took this time off to digest his rise to stardom and to mourn the death of his mother. In the end, Kanye West came out a stronger person.

Now, firmly back on top of the rap game, Kanye West has decided to speak on the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. During a recent performance, West talked to the crowd. Among the things he mentioned were his outburst during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. West said he can admit he had a little bit to drink before the ceremony.

After finally opening up about the VMAs, Kanye West has also finally addressed another elephant in the room. Last May, Kanye West and Amber Rose finally ended their on-again/off-again relationship. After everything that has happened, Kanye West said he no longer does media interviews. While having his DJ play Bell Biv Devoe's "Poison," Kanye West questioned why he did not listen closer to the line, "never trust a big butt and a smile."
