Given the persona Fabolous portrays behind the mic, not many people know he is a committed man. Fabolous has been with girlfriend and mother of his son, Emily Bustamante since 2003. Their relationship has not been easy, but they have managed to make it work.

Despite being with one of rap's heavyweights for eight years, not too many people had ever heard of Emily Bustamante. For the most part, she has stayed out of the spotlight. Fabolous is very secretive about his private life, for the obvious reasons.

Emily Bustamante is one of the stars of the VH1 series, "Love & Hip Hop" and the show has become a hit. Through the series, viewers are getting to know the woman in Fabolous' life. Like other couples, the two have their ups and downs.

One of the hardest parts of their relationship is balancing Fabolous and John Jackson, Fabolous' birth name. When he is out in public, he is Fabolous, but at home with his girlfriend and child, Fabolous is John, the man Emily Bustamante fell in love with. While she can see the difference between the two, Emily said she sometimes has trouble doing so.

There was one time when Fabolous was asked if he was single in an interview. Emily expected him to answer "no," but he said he was as single as a dollar bill. When he said this, she realized this was really John and not the rap voice, Fabolous. After hearing this, her heart dropped and she sent him a text message. Fabolous sent her a text back and he told her not to listen to the radio.

Not making their relationship public is terrible, especially considering how many thirsty whores surround rappers. Any rapper worth their weight can proudly shine with their women: Jay Z, LL Cool J, Rza. Fab definitely looks like an a**hole. Emily should feel insecure, because he can't be honest - side note: he has more pics with Amber Rose than her online. That sucks 'cause Emily is pretty and seems somewhat intelligent and HONEST. Fabolous, quit using your persona as a cop out for not committing to the mother of your child. It's disrespectful to her and the rest of your familial unit.

I really do enjoy watching Love and Hip Hop on VH1. I love watching all the drama that occurs on the show and good thing I get TV everywhere with DISH Network. As a DISH employee I can tell you that using the Sling box you can stream live TV content and DVR events right onto your iPhone, iPad or even laptop wherever you are. Go to www.dishnetwork.com for more info.

She seems like such a great woman, girlfriend & mother. I think he should give her the recognition she deserves & go public. She deserves that much.
