Former NBC executive, Jeff Zucker, was willing to go to great lengths for his son's thirteenth birthday. His son, much like the rest of the children around the world, has been deeply affected by the hip hop movement. Zucker's son wanted to have Kanye West perform at his bar mitzvah party.

Kanye West was willing to come to the party and perform, despite the party being for the son of a man once employed by NBC. However, his price was too high, even for a media mogul. West demanded a staggering $1 million before he would even meet with Zucker. That attitude found West quickly replaced.

When Jeff Zucker decided he did not want to work with Kanye West, he got in contact with some other artists. Nearly one year since his last album was released, Drake is still one of the most popular entertainers in the game. Because of this, Jeff Zucker reached out to Drake and asked him if he would be interested in performing.

Drake agreed to perform for Andrew, the son of Zucker. For his performance, Drake did not net $1 million, but he still managed to generate a staggering $250,000 for performing a few songs at the party.
