50 Cent preparing "Things Fall Apart" film release

Last year, 50 Cent got back into filmmaking when he started creating movies for his Cheetah Vision Films company. He had launched a film company, G-Unit Films, but it went defunct in 2007. But, with things looking up for him, 50 Cent decided to start another company.

From the start, 50 Cent began working on several different films and starring in them. Despite his big name, Hollywood film companies were not calling on him much. 50 Cent decided it was time to make himself into a movie star.

During the summer of 2010, 50 Cent received a lot of attention because of his dramatic weight loss. The G-Unit general revealed the weight loss was for a movie role. He was producing a film about a high school football player who develops cancer.

Titled Things Fall Apart, the film was supposed to premiere last year. Despite the attention the film received, the film did not premiere. Recently, however, more photos of 50 Cent from the film leaked and he announced he would soon premiere the movie, along with Gun at the Sundance Film Festival.
