Aretha Franklin never Had Cancer, wants Halle Berry for Bio-pic

Aretha Franklin has been a very popular topic over the past few months. Last fall, there were reports of the queen of soul suffering from pancreatic cancer. In December 2010, there were reports that the cancer had gotten worse. Later, the reports said that she had died at the age of 68.

After reports of her death gained credibility, Aretha Franklin decided to speak out against the rumors. She revealed that he is not only alive, but not suffering cancer. Franklin had been receiving treatments, but she never had cancer of any kind. She was going to let the people continue talking, but it was just too much.

Recently, Franklin agreed to a film chronicling her life. The bio-pic is in its early stages. Despite everything just getting started, Aretha Franklin has major plans for the film. She has entered the planning stages full steam ahead. The singer feels she has a new lease on life, as her surgery has added up to twenty years on her life.

One of the first things Aretha Franklin is planning with this second chance is her bio-pic, as previously mentioned. While nothing is set in stone for the film, Franklin has decided that she wants Halle Berry to portray her when the film does actually begin filming.
