Ciara and Keri Hilson end "beef," plan 2011 Collaboration

Things have been pretty tense between Ciara and Keri Hilson ever since Hilson released her debut album. Hilson has been taking light jabs at Ciara for well over a year. Keri Hilson used to write for Ciara and many other artists. But, when she began putting her own music out, Ciara's hits began to dwindle.

Last year was the only year in which they shared the spotlight, as the new music from Ciara did not catch on with fans. Meanwhile, the people wanted to hear more from Keri Hilson. She came out with three major hits in 2009 and the fans wanted to hear more. With her new album, her music was not as popular, too.

Keri Hilson and Ciara waited until the fourth quarter to release their albums, showing that they were major players. But, having to compete with Kanye West and Nicki Minaj proved to be too much. Ciara's album, Basic Instinct, only sold 35,000 copies in its first week. After the sales, Ciara said she did not feel as if her album had flopped.

When Keri Hilson prepared to release her album, she said she did not want to suffer the same fate Ciara did with her album. She went on to say she feels selling 35,000 copies is a flop. While it may not be too bad for someone like Ciara, it was horrible for her. Hilson went on to say that Ciara likely truly felt like she did good and if she did that is all that matters. Following her comments, Ciara "unfollowed" Keri Hilson on Twitter and the rumors erupted.

Now, with the rumors of a Ciara/Keri Hilson beef at an all-time high, they have thrown water on the rapidly growing fire. Currently, the two are in the studio working on new music. Next year, both ladies plan to release new albums. In 2011, a single with Ciara and Keri Hilson will be released, along with a video. It is not clear whose album will feature the new music, but it will be coming.
