Ron Artest lands Reality Show

Saturday, April 3, 2010

Ever since his fight on national television against the Detroit Pistons, in 2004, Ron Artest has been considered a problem. That incident not only cost him the 2004-2005 season, but it cost him his role with the contending Indiana Pacers. Upon his return, Artest would be traded to the Sacramento Kings. He has since become known as a journeyman.

In the time since his public brawl, Ron Artest has not caused any trouble. Still, he has had trouble trying to escape his past. Artest landed a television deal with Tijuana Entertainment and E1 Entertainment. They are currently shopping his show to a network. He will use this show as a way to right his wrongs.

Ron Artest hopes that his new show, "They Call Me Crazy," will show him in a different light. Not only does he want to show that he has matured, but Artest also wants to show his business side. Artest also wants the series to focus on the record label that he is trying to get off of the ground.

There has yet to be an air date, or a network to pick the show up. The show is being handled by the same company that is behind the new Faith Evans reality show. Faith Evans landed a contract with VH1 and it is likely that Ron Artest will, too.
