Usher to finally release "Raymond v. Raymond"
Monday, March 1, 2010
Before the end of this month, Usher plans to make his official return to the game. Beginning last summer, he began working on his sixth studio album. At the time, the album had a different spin than it currently has now. When he began working on the album, Usher was madly in love with his wife, Tameka Foster. But, as the recording process went on, he ended being mad with his wife. That was the inspiration for his lead single, "Papers."
The change of heart, plus the success of the single led to his album's title being changed from Monster to Raymond v. Raymond, which signified his divorce from his wife. With the change in title had to come a change in theme for the album. All of the happy relationship tracks had to be dumped in favor of more singles like "Papers." He is currently riding the wave of his new hit, "Daddy's Home."
With all of the success surrounding him right now, Usher wants to make things official with the release of his latest album. Before the end of this month, Usher plans to release Raymond v. Raymond. The official release date is March 30, 2010 and the album will be released on LaFace Records.
