Keyshia Cole welcomes her First Child

One thing notably missing from the female R&B game last year was the voice of Keyshia Cole. Each year since her 2005 debut, she has been a force in the game. However, last year Cole did not put out any new music. Instead, she relied on the music from her last album to carry over. Meanwhile new artists, such as Melanie Fiona took over the radio waves.

While Keyshia Cole was forgotten by a lot of people, as she ended her BET reality show, too, there were some that wondered about her. Cole began dating professional basketball player, Daniel Gibson, early last year. Their relationship blossomed and he soon gave Cole her first child. The two are said to be living together.

For the past few months, it has been widely known that Keyshia Cole was pregnant. In preparation for their new baby, the couple got engaged on January 1 to celebrate the New Year. Barely two months into the New Year and their engagement, Keyshia Cole has given birth to a baby boy, Daniel Hiram Gibson, Jr. Now that she has started a family, Keyshia Cole plans to return to the forefront of the game. She has a new album that should come out soon and she plans to make her film debut this year, also.
