Ever since the media ended Rihanna and Chris Brown's turbulent relationship, they have been trying to put them back together. It was only a matter of months before rumors began of Rihanna missing Chris Brown. However, during this time, she had started a then-budding romance with Drake.

Rihanna's career suffered slightly from her fight with Brown, but she quickly rebounded. Being a part of Jay-Z's Roc Nation company, he found ways to spin her image. Rihanna was back to topping the charts before the end of the career. Still, the stories about Chris Brown refuse to go away.

While she lifted the restraining order Los Angeles County placed against Chris Brown, Rihanna says she is not interested in getting back with him. Despite what she says, gossip sites continue linking the couple. Last summer, Chris Brown recorded a song, "Deuces," which told exactly how he felt about getting back with Rihanna and even boasted about some of his new conquests.

Regardless of how hard they try, the media continiously puts Rihanna and Chris Brown together. Tired of all the rumors, Rihanna recently spoke out. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Rihanna said she has no contact with Chris Brown on any level. Rihanna said she her lifting the restraining order does not mean they will suddenly make up with each other, or even speak to each other again. The reason she lifted the restraining order was so Brown could move on with his life and continue his career, a restraining order limits him from being at the same places as her, so she helped him out.

Rihanna's kindness is not her way of saying she would like to reconnect with Chris Brown.

Chris Brown debuts on top with "F.A.M.E."

By The Music Scoop

In the end, Chris Brown got the last laugh, despite all of the drama he has gone through with the media. Brown was once the darling of the public eye. But, his highly-publicized spat with Rihanna left him without the support of the media or the fans. There was a time, not too long ago, when radio stations refused to play his songs.

Chris Brown decided to take a step back, instead of staying in the public eye. Brown chose to record a mixtape in 2010, instead of deciding to put out another album. The mixtape included the song, "Deuces," which would become the number one single on the Billboard Hot 100. The success of "Deuces" laid the groundwork for F.A.M.E.

Following the release of "Deuces," his other mixtape single, "No Bullshit," has also become a radio hit. But, his major hit single has been his Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes-assisted "Look At Me Now." In spite of all the negative media attention he has received, Chris Brown's music has been speaking for itself. The questions he was asked on "Good Morning America" caused him to lose it, but his success makes up for it.

Brown's fourth studio album has been a major rebound from his last album. F.A.M.E. debuted at number one in the midst of stiff competition. The album has sold 271,000 copies during its first week of sales.

Even with all of the drama, Chris Brown does very well as the bad boy of R&B. Brown entered the game as the ultimate good guy, making music the kids could enjoy. Much of this came from him only being sixteen. But, as he got older, Chris Brown continued to cater to the young audience.

Following his high-profile fight with Rihanna, Chris Brown could no longer pull the "good guy" image off. He attempted to keep the act going, but the sales of his last album halted this. Instead of trying to release another album, Chris Brown hit the mixtape scene. His "Deuces" single introduced the world to the new Chris Brown.

In the days before his F.A.M.E. album came out, Chris Brown has watched a nude photo of him circulate the internet. After being accused of using the photo for self-promotion, Brown lashed out. Later, he was featured on "Good Morning America" and he got highly upset. With all of this going on, Chris Brown has been the center of the media's attention.

The press did not have a negative effect on his music career. F.A.M.E. is projected to sell well over 270,000 copies in its first week. Those sales match all of what 2009's Grafitti sold.

Brown went from being the most beloved member of the R&B community to being the most hated. With Rihanna, Chris Brown was a favorite in the public eye. But, once he publicly beat her, the media turned against him. The fight hurt Rihanna a little bit, but Chris Brown lost his entire career.

Chris Brown to complete Comeback in 2011

Friday, December 31, 2010

Almost two years ago, Chris Brown made a major mistake and it almost cost him his career. Early in his career, Brown was one half of the favorite teen couple with Rihanna. It appeared as if the two were madly in love. While Rihanna says they were, their relationship was proven abusive early in 2009.

Following their public fight, both Chris Brown and Rihanna's respective careers suffered. Brown was used to topping the charts and going platinum regardless. But, the fans were heavily against him in 2009. His album, Grafitti, was released in 2009 and it was blackballed.

Chris Brown said the radio only played Lil Wayne's verses of his single, "I Can Transform Ya." He also said stores, such as Walmart, were purposely misplacing his album so fans could not find it. With all of the negative press and Brown seemingly slipping, his album suffered low sales. While his first two albums were multiplatinum successes, Grafitti was not even gold certified.

Until this summer, it appeared as if Chris Brown's career was officially over. He had no album planned until next year, as he releases albums every other year. Despite not having any music planned, Chris Brown decided to repair his career. He went to the mixtape scene and recorded the In My Zone mixtape and he unleashed his true feelings. Among the songs on the mixtape was "Deuces." The song basically explained his relationship with Rihanna and how he was over the drama.

Late in the summer of 2010, "Deuces" began to receive radio play despite being a mixtape song. Because of its popularity, Chris Brown filmed a video for the song. The video began to receive circulation on all of the video channels. Without having an album out, Chris Brown soon had the number one single in the country and the people suddenly loved him again. Even though he made a big mistake, the media has been looking for someone to build a legacy similar to Michael Jackson and they feel Chris Brown is still that person.

While he regained his fan base with one single, Chris Brown plans to put them to the test next year. He is heading back to the studio to put together a full album. If it sells, he will know exactly where he stands with the people and his comeback will be complete.
