Spending the night at the 2011 BET Awards, surrounded by legends in black entertainment, Chris Brown stood out. The Virginia singer performed his hit, "She Ain't You," and won several awards.

Chris Brown officially made himself the king of R&B when he won the BET Award for 'Best Male R&B Artist.' Brown has released several hits, starting with "Deuces" last summer, and currently still ongoing with "She Ain't You." Chris Brown truly showed his talents when he rapped on "Look At Me Now."

Rihanna is happy Being Single

Saturday, April 30, 2011

The media has pitted Rihanna against Chris Brown ever since their violent split. After their squabble hit the public, Rihanna's career took a small hit. While she struggled a bit, Brown had to rebuild from square one.

For the most part, it seemed as if Rihanna was back on track, while Chris Brown suffered. Within a year, she was dating a baseball star, while Brown was upset with album sales. But, the tides have changed.

Rihanna is still among the popular pop artists, but Chris Brown has been utterly dominating the radio waves. His rap single, featuring Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne, "Look at me Now," has been on the radio for nearly five months.

Not only is Chris Brown dominating the radio, but he is also in a committed relationship. Rihanna says she is also happy, but the key to her happiness is being single. The media would love for her to be dating in order to compare it to Brown. Rihanna feels she has played into the media's hands for entirely too long and she is now doing some things for herself in the next few months.

Chris Brown debuts on top with "F.A.M.E."

Wednesday, March 30, 2011

In the end, Chris Brown got the last laugh, despite all of the drama he has gone through with the media. Brown was once the darling of the public eye. But, his highly-publicized spat with Rihanna left him without the support of the media or the fans. There was a time, not too long ago, when radio stations refused to play his songs.

Chris Brown decided to take a step back, instead of staying in the public eye. Brown chose to record a mixtape in 2010, instead of deciding to put out another album. The mixtape included the song, "Deuces," which would become the number one single on the Billboard Hot 100. The success of "Deuces" laid the groundwork for F.A.M.E.

Following the release of "Deuces," his other mixtape single, "No Bullshit," has also become a radio hit. But, his major hit single has been his Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes-assisted "Look At Me Now." In spite of all the negative media attention he has received, Chris Brown's music has been speaking for itself. The questions he was asked on "Good Morning America" caused him to lose it, but his success makes up for it.

Brown's fourth studio album has been a major rebound from his last album. F.A.M.E. debuted at number one in the midst of stiff competition. The album has sold 271,000 copies during its first week of sales.

Chris Rock to narrate Busta Rhymes' new album

Sunday, November 14, 2010

By The Music Scoop

With his hit television sitcom, "Everybody Hates Chris," being cancelled last year, Chris Rock has had plenty of free time. He returned to the big screen with Grown Ups and he has other projects in the works. Rock misses television, but he loves having his freedom back.

Chris Rock has been slightly more hip hop than most of the other comedians. Rock has actually used hip hop beats on a few of his comedy albums. He teamed up with the late Gerald Levert for his hit "No Sex (In the Champagne Room)." The song has since become a comedy classic.

Busta Rhymes has always been one of the more eccentric rappers. He is often doing something in order to stick out from other rap stars. But, in recent years, Busta Rhymes has been sounding a lot like the other rappers instead of setting trends. When he first announced this album, Busta promised that he would bring something different to the table.

For his latest album, E.L.E. II, a sequel to his 1998 album, Busta Rhymes has invited Chris Rock onto the album as a narrator. This is the ultimate marriage between hip hop and comedy. The album is slated to come out either next month or next year.
