Saturday, August 20, 2011

JR Staff Writer

Late in 2009, 50 Cent explained why he did not have a girlfriend. 50 Cent said he was too rich to date and did not trust anyone. Early in 2010, E! personality, Chelsea Handler said 50 Cent came on to her and she turned him down.

While she had turned 50 Cent down, Handler said she was very much single at the time. Offering herself to 50 Cent, the conversation died down. In the coming months, several rumors started about the possible couple.

Everyone had something to say about the relationship, including Diddy. However, late in 2010, the rumors began to take their toll. Both 50 and Chelsea were tired of the rumors. Chelsea Handler said she was tired of 50 Cent sending her expensive gifts when she could easily afford her own and this was her final straw with him.

However, earlier this year, Chelsea Handler admitted she and 50 Cent did date. She said their relationship was nothing serious, however. Ciara even stated the reason she and 50 Cent split up was because Chelsea Handler came between them. 50 Cent said the reason he was with Handler was because of her down-to-earth attitude. Chelsea Handler informed the people 50 Cent is nothing like how he acts in front of the camera.

Recently, Chelsea Hander said her relationship with 50 Cent was nothing more than sex. The couple were nothing more than friends with benefits. Chelsea Handler said the sex with 50 Cent was fun, but there were no emotions tied to it.

Will Jeremih sign with G-Unit Records?

Tuesday, July 19, 2011

By The Music Scoop
JR Staff Writer

Earlier this year, 50 Cent said he helped to save Jeremih's career. It was two years ago when Jeremih first made it big. Signing with Def Jam, his "Birthday Sex" single became a minor hit during the spring of 2009. But, following the success of the single, Jeremih was forgotten by most people.

However, last December he released "Down on Me" and later 50 Cent was added to the song. After 50 Cent was added to the song, it became Jeremih's biggest hit. Jeremih has replaced Joe as the hook man on most G-Unit songs. Aside from working with 50 Cent, he has also recorded with Lloyd Banks.

Throughout his career, 50 Cent has had issues with Def Jam. When he was outsold by Kanye West, 50 Cent said Def Jam purchased most of the records. 50 Cent said he would release an album every time a major Def Jam artist intended to release an album. Discrediting Jay-Z's role as CEO of Def Jam, 50 said he had the same deal with Interscope Records, minus the title.

Recently, 50 Cent said he would not do business with Def Jam because they are in financial trouble. But, over the years, artists signed to Def Jam have been interested in joining G-Unit. With 50 Cent expanding his label, with his new deal with EMI Records, he is looking for new artists. 50 Cent entered a partnership with Shawty Lo and D4L Records. Currently, he is searching for more partnerships and more artists. Due to the relationship he already has with Jeremih, could 50 Cent possibly sign Jeremih to his G Note label?

50 Cent talks Amber Rose photo leak

Tuesday, July 5, 2011

By Mr. Hollywood
JR Staff Writer

It was only a matter of time before 50 Cent weighed in on the situation involving Amber Rose. Regardless of what is going on, in the news, and whom it concerns, 50 Cent finds a way to put himself in the equation. Ever since he challenged Kanye West, and lost, 50 has always had something to say about his personal life.

When Kanye West was dating Amber Rose, she soon became a topic 50 Cent openly discussed. However, with her split from West now well over a year, 50 Cent has had no reason to mention her. In actuality, 50 Cent has no real beef with either Amber Rose or his rival, Kanye West.

The latest nude photo leak of Amber Rose has caught the attention of people from all walks of life. Of course 50 Cent would not let an opportunity like this slip by. With all of the negative press over the picture, 50 Cent was able to lighten the mood. The G-Unit leader said the picture was at least classy, unlike other nude photo leaks from other women.

50 Cent said the photo leak did not hurt Amber Rose because of the woman she is. It would have hurt someone trying to portray a more conservative image, according to 50. But, for Amber Rose, her photo leak was nothing more than promotion. She has taken raunchy pictures before, so a classy nude photo should not do much to hurt her image. The way 50 Cent feels about it, it has actually helped her out, in many cases.

Chelsea Handler explains 50 Cent split

Thursday, May 12, 2011

By Mr. Hollywood
JR Staff Writer

For most of 2010, entertainment gossip sites were filled with stories about 50 Cent and Chelsea Handler. Known as the bad girl of late night, Handler revealed 50 Cent had asked her out. At the time, Chelsea Handler said she was involved with someone, so she turned him down.

However, Chelsea Handler revealed she was now single and interested if 50 Cent was. Over the next nine months, the two flirted through gossip sites and Twitter. At times, the couple was spotted together. But, each time they were asked about dating, they denied it.

The flirtation took a serious tone towards the end of 2010, when Chelsea Handler had enough. In January, she said 50 had become stalker-ish. On Christmas, 50 Cent sent her several gifts, which she quickly returned. It was then when Chelsea Handler cut ties with 50 Cent. Their friendship is over and Handler wants no association with 50 Cent.

Now, the E! personality is going in-depth about why she has banished 50 Cent. Handler said she does not accept gifts from rappers because she is not a hooker. During an interview with Piers Morgan, Handler finally admitted to a romance with 50 Cent. Chelsea Handler said she enjoyed a very brief and very casual relationship with 50 Cent. While she said he was a very sweet and nice guy, Chelsea Handler said she was not looking for anything deep, only sampling.

While Chelsea Handler said 50 Cent was very nice and funny, she said she could not accept gifts from any man, especially extravagant ones. Because of her own high-paying job, Handler can afford her own gifts and she did not like that 50 Cent was buying her things when they did not know each other very well. Both have had nice things to say about each other in the media, despite a relatively harsh ending.

Amare Stoudemire caught cheating on Ciara

Monday, May 9, 2011

By Mr. Hollywood
JR Staff Writer

Before admitting to dating each other, Ciara was in a deep flirtation with 50 Cent. A source close to Ciara revealed she was weary about going father with 50 Cent. Right when she was ready to open up to the mogul, he began his flirtation with Chelsea Handler, chasing her away.

On the other hand, Amare Stoudemire was close to getting into a relationship with Amber Rose. Following her split from Kanye West, she has been with many different men. Among the men she was seeing was NBA baller, Amare Stoudemire. Stoudemire said he would like to go farther with her, but she would have to open up.

With trust being an issue with both of them, Amare Stoudemire and Ciara made the perfect couple. Last week, the two finally admitted they were dating each other. Following the announcement, the couple began making public appearances with each other. As Ciara was finally opening up to the New York Knick, he was sending texts to other women and cheating on her.

Reportedly, Stoudemire is known for sending pictures of his private parts to women he has sexual relations with. Despite having "settled down" with Ciara, he was still sending these pics out. However, he found himself in a jam when Ciara went through his phone and found pictures he had sent to women as recent as last month. Even though Stoudemire was caught with his hand in the cookie jar, Ciara still gave him a second chance, remaining in the relationship.

50 Cent ends The Sleek by 50 only months after Launch

Friday, May 6, 2011

By Mr. Hollywood
JR Staff Writer

Once he was able to break into the game, 50 Cent broke in a major way. For only a few short months was 50 Cent just a rapper. It did not take long for 50 to establish himself as one of the moguls in the hip hop game. Through several business ventures, 50 Cent amassed a net worth over $100 million.

While 50 Cent has had several successful business ventures, he has also had several unsuccessful ventures. Before he made it big, 50 Cent had another label, Full Clip. Through this label, 50 released some independent albums. G-Unit was signed to the label, but Full Clip fell apart.

Early in his career, 50 Cent launched G-Unit Clothing to much fanfare. But, eight years later, the clothing line is no longer in circulation. His most recent venture was a new headphone line, The Sleek by 50. The line follows in the footsteps of Dr. Dre's groundbreaking Beats by Dre line. After he launched the line, 50 Cent said Dr. Dre was angry at him for doing so.

50 Cent accused Dr. Dre of dissing him several times. When confronted, Dr. Dre claimed he did not even know 50 Cent had a headphone line. Not only did 50 Cent have a headphone line, he had purchased enough stock in the parent company, H&H Imports, to become a board member. Through this stock, 50 Cent generated $8 million in one day. Only three months after this fast star, 50 Cent has decided to end the headphone line.

Sleek Headphones said they wanted to move in a different direction and The Sleek by 50 has been pulled off their inventory list.

50 Cent co-starring with Bruce Willis in "Fire with Fire" film

Thursday, May 5, 2011

By The Film Critic
JR Staff Writer

50 Cent, like many other hip hop moguls, has been focusing more on business ventures than music. Last year, 50 announced a fifth studio album in the works. In the year since he announced the new album, one single has come.

The most profitable of 50 Cent's businesses, currently, is his Cheetah Vision Films company. 50 Cent has produced and starred in several hit films. Through the company, 50 Cent signed a 10-film, $200 million deal with Lionsgate Entertainment.

His latest film, Fire with Fire, co-starring Bruce Willis, is the one of these ten films. The movie is about a firefighter who is in the witness protection program. When the fireman is threatened by the man he plans to testify against, he takes matters into his own hands to save the love of his life. The film will be directed by popular producer, David Barrett.

50 Cent is also working on Setup and Freelancers, with Robert DeNiro, under this same deal.

Ciara confirms relationship with Amare Stoudemire

By Mr. Hollywood
JR Staff Writer

More than likely, Amare Stoudemire wishes his first season with the New York Knicks could have turned out better. With many expecting the team to compete for an NBA title, they were bounced in the first round by the Boston Celtics. The team is filled with superstars, but failed to win one playoff game.

Amare Stoudemire may not have won on the court, but he has been racking up wins off the court. The All-Star player has been spending time with Ciara for months. There have been many rumors about the two dating. While both have been out of the spotlight for a little while, they confirmed their relationship.

Ciara has been involved with 50 Cent, on and off, since 2007, but a public Twitter spat has left them estranged. In the time since their argument, Ciara has spent time with Stoudemire. Recently, she stopped beating around the bush and admitted she was Amare Stoudemire's girlfriend. Ciara says she is very shy about the relationship.

For Ciara, this is her first serious relationship since she dated Bow Wow from 2004 until 2006. Their split was very public, prompting Bow Wow to make a song, "Outta My System," about how he felt about the two breaking up.

50 Cent returns to Television Screens

Saturday, April 30, 2011

By TV Insider
JR Staff Writer

In 2008, 50 Cent landed the opportunity of a lifetime when MTV gave him his own reality show. The show was created in the vein of the Diddy-themed reality shows. Titled "The Money and the Power," 50 Cent was playing the role of Donald Trump. Several contestants competed for a role with G-Unit.

Despite having a good premise, the show failed to connect with the viewers. Reality shows do not survive off plot, instead they make it off the stars. Some people have and some people do not. 50 Cent did not and the show did not make it. As quickly as it was put on the air, MTV pulled the show.

50 Cent was in the middle of a label dispute with Interscope, so he was already suffering from hard times. Always confident in the eyes of the media, 50 Cent shrugged it off. He said he really did not need the show or his label because of the millions he had. While this was true, 50 Cent had hoped the show would provide promotion for his latest album.

Putting the previous show in the past, 50 Cent is now in business with VH1. With a different network comes a different type of program. 50 Cent will be starring in a program called "The Origin of Me." The show details 50 Cent as he searches his roots. "The Origin of Me" will premiere on VH1 on May 23.

Jeremih enjoying Extended Ride on the Charts

Thursday, April 28, 2011

By The Music Scoop
JR Staff Writer

Two years ago, Def Jam introduced the world to Jeremih. Early in the spring of 2009, he released his debut single, "Birthday Sex." The song quickly became a hit on the radio, but Jeremih's follow-ups did little-to-nothing to make an impact. Before the summer of 2009, he was all but forgotten.

Despite the poor reception in 2009, Jeremih returned to the studio and he began recording his next album. The album was set for a 2010 release. He released the "Down on Me" single, but it had little traction. But, 50 Cent soon recorded verses for the song and it took off, becoming the official version.

The song was released in December and is currently one of the biggest hits of the spring season. Previously, 50 Cent took credit for saving Jeremih's career. According to the G-Unit CEO, Def Jam was going to drop Jeremih from the label if he could not come up with a hit. Seeing what was going to happen, 50 Cent decided to step up and save his career.

Regardless of what happened, Jeremih has enjoyed nearly five months of consistent radio play with only one single. With this type of staying power, imagine what the future holds for Jeremih's next single.

50 Cent launches "This Is 50" comedy show

Tuesday, April 26, 2011

By Mr. Hollywood
JR Staff Writer

In 2005, 50 Cent recorded a song called "This Is 50" and the song ended up being a part of The Massacre. While it was not released as a single, "This Is 50" became very popular with fans. 50 Cent has been known for being rather cocky, but it had reached an all-time high in 2007.

Because he had sold at least five million albums on his first two releases, 50 Cent expected the same results on his 2007 album. But, his album only sold one million copies. Following the low sales, 50 was upset and he called the album a "flop." However, he went back to his 2005 song for inspiration.

During the fall of 2007, 50 Cent launched ThisIs50.com, a social networking hip hop news site. Even with his own popularity waning, the site brought in plenty of traffic. Four years later, it is one of the biggest hip hop sites online. The site is best-known for their rivalry with WorldStarHipHop.com, the biggest hip hop site online.

50 Cent has been expanding all of his business ventures, but he has refocused on his ThisIs50 brand. Adding to the brand this year will be a comedy show. Later this year, 50 Cent will launch the "This Is 50" comedy show. The idea comes from Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam and 50 Cent has already established partnerships in order to get the ball rolling. 50 Cent has already signed the first comedian, Young Jack Thriller and he has already taped him.

50 Cent says Ciara is Just a Friend

Monday, April 25, 2011

By Mr. Hollywood
JR Staff Writer

Four years ago, rumors began to circulate about 50 Cent dating rising star, Ciara. Fresh out of a relationship with Bow Wow, rumors had Ciara paired with the older 50 Cent, or the much-older R. Kelly. Meanwhile, 50 Cent had just ended his high-profile relationship with Vivica A. Fox.

50 Cent and Ciara often made public appearances together, but denied having a relationship. In 2007, 50 Cent attempted to feud with Lil Wayne. At the time, Wayne wanted a collaboration with Ciara for Tha Carter III. 50 Cent reportedly forbade her from working with Lil Wayne.

While Ciara did not end up on the album, the "relationship" between 50 Cent and Ciara ended. The two stopped making public appearances and went their separate ways. Late in 2009, 50 Cent said he did not have a girlfriend because he did not trust women. Because he is so rich, 50 felt all women were scheming for his riches.

E! personality, Chelsea Handler said his comments were fueled because she turned him down. Following an appearance on her show, 50 Cent asked Handler out. Because she already had a boyfriend, she turned him down. However, when Handler replied to 50 Cent's statement, she said she was single and willing to begin dating 50 Cent. For nearly a year, the two engaged in a rumored relationship until Handler revealed how clingy 50 was back in January.

Sources close to Ciara say she was close to getting with 50 Cent, but the Chelsea Handler rumors kept them from getting together. Earlier this year, 50 Cent and Ciara had a very public argument on Twitter, which led to 50 saying he would not engage Ciara in a feud. The two have not had anything to say to or about each other in the time since then. Recently, 50 Cent broke this trend and said he and Ciara are only friends and they have not been anything more than friends.

50 Cent adds DJ Pauly D to G-Unit roster

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

By The Music Scoop
JR Staff Writer

For years, 50 Cent tried to brand his entire company as the toughest of the tough. But, after making enemies out of 90% of the hip hop community and fans, 50 Cent has sharpened his business skills. The head of G-Unit Enterprises has been working hard to alter his image from a gangster to a businessman.

50 Cent has expanded his company to include the successful film company, Cheetah Vision Films. The new company has already produced over five films. Lionsgate Entertainment, the distributor for both Tyler Perry and Ice Cube, recently inked a $200 million deal with his company for three new projects.

Dominating the film industry, 50 Cent is not quite done with the music scene. 50 Cent has been said to be recording a new album and he expanded G-Unit Records to include G-Note Records. The sub-label already has a signed artist, Governor, a former act of Grand Hustle, T.I.'s label. 50 Cent is expanding all of his businesses in order to catch back up with Jay-Z and Diddy.

In an effort to make G-Unit Records more appealing to the mainstream, he has signed DJ Pauly D, one of the "Jersey Shore" stars, to his label. The rumor has been circulating for weeks and was recently confirmed by in-house G-Unit DJ, Whoo Kid. DJ Whoo Kid said 50 Cent is trying to make music for everyone in the future, so he is adding all types of artists to G-Unit Records.

Tahiry discusses Her Issues with Reality Television

Friday, April 15, 2011

By TV Insider
JR Staff Writer

For years, Tahiry has been behind the scenes, in many of the classic music videos. Tahiry built a reputation as a video vixen in the game. But, in late 2009, Tahiry introduced the world to her business side. Following her breakup from Joe Budden, she was a part of 50 Cent's "Do You Think About Me" video.

Once she starred in 50 Cent's heavily promoted video, Tahiry began making public statements. Joe Budden responded to some of the comments she made. Tahiry starred alongside Budden in several episodes of his JoeBuddenTV. Fabolous soon announced he used to date Tahiry, building more buzz around her.

50 Cent was asked if he would date Tahiry. While admitting she was a sexy woman, 50 Cent said he did not want a girlfriend. It was due to his level of fortune and fame. 50 Cent, at the time, did not trust any female enough to enter a romantic relationship with them. Tahiry did not land 50 Cent, as we know of, but she became a household name.

When "Love & Hip Hop" premiered, Somaya Reece, another ex of Joe Budden's was on the show. Fans who know her history with Tahiry felt it would have made better entertainment if Tahiry was also a part of the show. Tahiry has made it clear she is a businesswoman, unlike the other video vixens. She was not approached by VH1, but if she were, she would turn them down. Recently, Tahiry admitted she does not like reality television because it creates too much drama.

Tahiry feels reality television no longer focuses on the reality, instead the focus is on the conflict.

Jay-Z explains keeping his Cool

Thursday, April 14, 2011

By Mr. Hollywood
JR Staff Writer

Ever since his feud with Nas, Jay-Z has been untouchable on all levels. While becoming one of America's biggest businessmen, he has still maintained his street credibility. This comes after being dissed by several rappers, including Lil Wayne, Jim Jones, 50 Cent, and Cam'ron.

Some of the disses became very personal. The rappers spoke of how Jay-Z looks, calling him a camel. Jim Jones went as far as to say Beyonce was too good for him. Jones invited Beyonce to come chill with him. Through all of this, Jay-Z remained mum in his responses.

Because of his responsibilities as a businessman, Jay-Z could only say so much in response. There have been times when Jay-Z wanted to say more. 50 Cent provoked Jay-Z late in 2009 when he said Jay-Z was a punk and was afraid to diss rappers after losing to Nas. The G-Unit rapper went as far as to use Jay's former protege, Beanie Sigel, against him.

Gwyneth Paltrow recently interviewed Jay-Z and she asked him how he maintains his cool with so much thrown at him at all times. Jay-Z replied, having the coolest women around him at all times, helps him keep his cool at all times. No matter what is thrown in his direction, Jay-Z still has Beyonce, he still has his successful businesses and his enemies are still jealous.

Country music sensation, Taylor Swift was recently asked about her taste in music. While she has been the face of country music for well over two years, Swift loves all music. Early in her career, Swift had a run-in with black music that has followed her to this day. When she beat Beyonce out at the MTV Video Music Awards, Beyonce's friend, Kanye West took the stage in outrage.

Kanye West's outburst led to Taylor Swift crying once she got off stage and accepted her award. In the time since, Kanye West has reached out to Swift. The two put any issues they may have had against each other in the past. The two have even re-enacted their confrontation for comical purposes. Kanye West has admitted to being a Taylor Swift fan.

In the late stages of last year, Taylor Swift made a few appearances with Nicki Minaj and the two became good friends. 50 Cent stuck up for Taylor Swift when Kanye West took the microphone from her at the awards ceremony. 50 Cent and Ciara have a Sextape?

By Mr. Hollywood
JR Staff Writer

In 2007, rumors circulated about 50 Cent dating Ciara, at the time fresh out of a relationship with Bow Wow. The rumors intensified when a video came out for Ciara's "Can't Leave 'Em Alone." In the video, 50 Cent played Ciara's love interest and the two were very close in the video.

During the summer of 2007, 50 Cent would release Curtis, his third studio album. The packaging of the album featured a semi-nude woman. Most media outlets suggested this was Ciara posing half-naked. But, 50 Cent repeatedly denied it was Ciara posing in the packaging.

The rumored relationship between 50 Cent and Ciara ended when 50 reportedly banned Ciara from working with Lil Wayne in 2008. In the time since then, Ciara has been linked with Amare Stoudemire of the New York Knicks. 50 Cent, on the other hand, was rumored to be involved with Chelsea Handler.

Regardless of what they had, 50 Cent and Ciara ended things on horrible terms. Earlier this year, the two had an ugly spat on Twitter. Sources close to Ciara denied she ever dated 50 Cent, but she considered it until the Chelsea Handler rumors began. Now, rumors are suggesting 50 Cent and Ciara were indeed an item and they have a sextape to back things up. If the rumors are true, 50 Cent and Ciara join a long list of celebrities with their pants caught on the ground on tape.

By The Music Scoop
JR Staff Writer

Two years ago, the world was introduced to Jeremih through his hit, "Birthday Sex." The song became a minor hit during the early spring of 2009. But, following his first single, Jeremih disappeared from the game. Late last year, he attempted a small comeback.

Jeremih released his "Down on Me" single, but it was not met with much success. However, 50 Cent soon recorded on a remix of the song. Released in January, the song is still heavy in rotation on several radio stations across America. Jeremih is currently getting more radio play than Trey Songz and Ne-Yo.

As one of the rising R&B stars in the game, Jeremih has benefited from working with 50 Cent. It is also something to have music out getting more airplay than Trey Songz. Jeremih feels he can really move his career to the next level. The entire G-Unit crew has been working with him, as he provided the hook for Lloyd Banks' current hit, "I Don't Deserve You."

Recently, 50 Cent spoke on Jeremih's fast-rising career. He said Jeremih was close to being dropped from his label, Def Jam. But, because of his current hit with 50 Cent, Jeremih is now one of Def Jam's biggest artists. Jeremih's album was released last summer and the sales were extremely low and his singles were not getting any radio play. However, things have turned around for him ever since "Down on Me" made its way to the radio. 50 Cent has taken credit for this turn of events.
