Ciara has grown used to high album sales after six years of dominating the charts. She is very successful and has become well-respected in the game. Despite all of this acclaim, her album did not sell well in the midst of so many other albums. In response to the low album sales, Ciara said sales do not matter.
Ever since her 2009 debut, Keri Hilson has been pegged by many as Ciara's rival. While Hilson has tried to downplay the rumors of beef, she has called Ciara out more than once. This trend continued after Ciara discussed album sales. Keri Hilson thinks sales do matter.
Recently, Keri Hilson discusses releasing her new album, No Boys Allowed. She said she was nervous with all of the other albums coming out. While Hilson gets moderate airplay, her buzz has fallen off since her debut last year and she is well aware. Keri Hilson is ready for the drop-off, but she still wants to do fairly well.
Keri Hilson said she does not want to come out and only sell 35,000 records in her first week like Ciara did and she said anyone would feel that way. Hilson cut the argument short and said that is probably the way Ciara truly feels.
