Jason Kidd is finally an NBA champion

Following the retirement of Shaquille O'Neal, Jason Kidd found himself as one of the oldest players in the NBA. More important than age, Jason Kidd was a seasoned playoff veteran, but had nothing to show for his efforts. Starting his career with the Dallas Mavericks, the all-star point guard soon became a journeyman.

After his initial stint with Dallas, Jason Kidd joined the Phoenix Suns and was expected to form a duo with Penny Hardaway. However, injuries would hinder their growth. Despite making the playoffs each year, with Kidd running the point, he was traded to the struggling New Jersey Nets in 2001.

The addition of Kidd to the roster boosted the Nets from being one of the NBA's worst teams to championship contenders. In his first year with New Jersey, Jason Kidd led them all of the way to the NBA Finals. While their season was impressive, the Nets could not match up with the Shaq-Kobe dynamic duo of the Los Angeles Lakers, and were quickly swept from the NBA Finals.

Jason Kidd had another dominant season, in 2003, with the Nets returning to the Finals, but falling two games short of the title. Following the 2003 playoffs, it seemed as if Jason Kidd had gotten as close as he ever would to an NBA championship. Each year, the New Jersey Nets continued to get worse until the again-struggling Nets agreed to trade Jason Kidd to perennial playoff contenders, Dallas Mavericks, his original team. While the Mavericks struggled, losing in the first round, they soon turned things around.

Dallas, itself, has had several disappointing seasons, following their collapse in the 2006 NBA Finals to the surprising Miami Heat. Five years later, the two franchises, with the same faces, Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki and Miami's Dwyane Wade, with new supporting members, Jason Kidd and LeBron James, returned to the Finals, with both teams considering the season a failure if they came short of the title. Despite getting off to a quick start in the series, the Miami Heat faltered under the pressure and Dallas took home their first title.

Seventeen years of hard work and four teams, Dallas twice, has paid off for Jason Kidd and he can now sit back with the other champions of the NBA.

In recent years, Chris Brown has let it be known he is one of the bad boys of R&B. Brown's lyrics range from physical intimacy to the tough guy routine. His actions in the public eye made it clear he is nothing to play with.

While his style may have changed, Brown has kept some aspects the same. Despite everything that has happened in his career, Chris Brown still loves the ladies. Even when in a committed relationship, Brown has the urge to please his female fans.

At a recent concert, Chris Brown channeled his Nicki Minaj and gave one female fan a lap dance. Following the dance, he kissed the woman. Earlier this year, Nicki Minaj gave her boss and label-mate, Lil Wayne, several lap dances.

After each lap dance, a new video of Nicki Minaj would surface on the internet. Once the lap dances began generating publicity, Nicki Minaj began doing more of them. Before she retired her lap dances, her most-notable one came when she danced on recently-divorced Phoenix Suns point guard, Steve Nash.

Steve Nash receives Lap Dance from Nicki Minaj

Thursday, April 21, 2011

This year, Steve Nash finds himself in an unfamiliar position, outside of the playoffs. Ever since he signed with the Phoenix Suns, in 2004, they made the playoffs each year, with the exception of 2009. Nash has led the team and even won consecutive MVP awards.

While the past season may not have gone so well for Nash, his offseason has been fantastic. Recently, Steve Nash decided to go to the Young Money concert in Phoenix. Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj have been headlining the I Am Music II tour. They have made several stops already.

Nicki Minaj has been giving lap dances to many of the people who have come to the concert. She was caught on camera giving lap dances to Lil Wayne. For a little while, it seemed as if he was the only person receiving lap dances. This was a completely different story in Phoenix. Steve Nash has had a rough year, but things got a lot easier for him.

Nash was pulled on stage by Nicki and she gave him the lap dance of his life. Now single, Steve Nash said the lap dance was not a big deal to him. But, he went on to deny the allegations of her body being fake, saying that was definitely real. Earlier this month, news leaked of Nash's former teammate, Jason Richardson, of the Orlando Magic, being the father of Nash's ex-wife's newborn baby. Many believe this is why he was traded to Orlando.

Jason Richardson allegedly knocked up Steve Nash's wife

Steve Nash has been the face of the Phoenix Suns ever since he signed with them in 2004. Over the years, he has had several different players in the backcourt with him. In 2009, Jason Richardson was traded from the Charlotte Bobcats to the Suns, becoming Nash's new backcourt mate.

The two had great chemistry on the court, propelling Phoenix to a solid 53-win season and a trip to the Western Conference Finals, ultimately losing to the Lakers. Off the court, it seemed as if Nash and his backcourt mate, Richardson had a strong relationship. Rumor has it, Richardson had a much stronger relationship with Nash's wife.

In December of 2010, Steve Nash filed for divorce from his wife, one day after she gave birth to his child. While the child was supposed to be Nash's, many say the child was black. Richardson was traded from the Suns to the Orlando Magic in the same week. Initially, rumors stated Shaquille O'Neal was the father of the child, but reports are now saying Jason Richardson is the culprit.

If this is indeed the case, it would all make perfect sense. Steve Nash discovers the child is not his and files for divorce from his wife. A little investigating leads him in the direction of Jason Richardson. Being the face of the team, Steve Nash takes his issues with Richardson to the front office. Not wanting their franchise player upset, the Phoenix Suns trade Jason Richardson to a contender in Orlando in exchange for a similar player in Vince Carter.

Despite getting rid of Richardson, Steve Nash and the Suns have struggled, missing the playoffs one year after nearly beating Kobe Bryant and the Lakers.

The Emergence of Rajon Rondo

Thursday, May 13, 2010

Only a few seasons ago, the Phoenix Suns drafted Rajon Rondo with the twenty-first overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft. Already having a strong point guard, he was immediately traded to the lowly Boston Celtics. The Celtics were back in the lottery one season after winning their division and the third seed in the playoffs. However, the 2006-2007 season was one of the more forgettable ones in the history of the franchise.

Following the horrible 2006-2007 season, there were multiple rumors of the Boston Celtics being dismantled. Rondo had a front-row view of all of this from the bench as the Celtics were one of the worst teams in the league. But, with the addition of Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen to the core which was anchored by Paul Pierce, the Celtics went from worst to first. Being overlooked during his rookie season and most of his second season, Rondo was key in the playoffs.

The next season, the Boston Celtics dealt with injuries to each of their big three with Rondo being the only healthy player on the team. In the playoffs, with Kevin Garnett out and the rest of the team limited, Rondo emerged as a leader. But, for this season, fans hoped that it would be a return to business as usual. However, the 2009 playoffs were only a preview of what has become the team of Rajon Rondo.

Throughout the regular season, Rajon Rondo came through in big games against contenders in the East. Now, in the playoffs, he has been the main reason that the Celtics are still competing against a much better Cleveland Cavaliers team. Early in the run of the “Big Three,” there was talk of the pressure Rajon Rondo was feeling. Being on the court with Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett would be rough for anyone.

Instead of shying away from the challenge, Rajon Rondo rose to become just as good, if not better than the “Big Three.” Last year, in the playoffs, Rondo was included in the “Big Three” while Garnett was out. For most of this season, the Celtics have been referred to as the “Big Four.” One thing is clear and that is the fact that Rajon Rondo is the future of the Boston Celtics.
