While trying to leave Jive Records, Ciara decided to soak in a little sun. She and her boyfriend, Amare Stoudemire of the New York Knicks have been spending time in Miami.

Ironically, the Miami Heat are in the middle of their biggest playoff run in years. The Heat took out the mighty Boston Celtics. In the first round, the Celtics sent Amare Stoudemire home early.

Things could be better for both Ciara and Amare in their professional lives. But, for the moment, they have decided to spend time with each other. In this moment in time, they are just together.

Ciara reportedly forgave Amare Stoudemire after he cheated on her, sending revealing pictures of himself to other women. With all things right in their relationship, Ciara and Amare Stoudemire are taking up some personal time in Miami.

Following the low sales of Basic Instinct, Ciara has been the topic of discussion by many. Keri Hilson publicly insulted her low sales and many websites have also had much to post. Before long, there were rumors of Ciara being dropped from Jive Records. It was soon said that Ciara was working to leave the label.

But, making things clear, Ciara said she was the one who wanted to leave Jive Records. At the time, they had no interest in dropping her. But, after lackluster promotion for two of her albums, consecutively, Ciara wants off. She said they can either properly promote her, or come up with a severance package.

There have been many back and forth rumors about where Ciara would end up. With all of the discussion, there has been more and more speculation and less and less Ciara. When rumors start, they take on lives of their own and are often blown out of proportion. This has been the case with Ciara's high-profile "feud" with Keri Hilson and her "relationship" with 50 Cent.

Ciara has decided to speak out before the story becomes distorted again. There were rumors of a letter written by Ciara and addressed to Jive Records. When the letter was released, many questioned if it were authentic or not. Ending all of the speculation, Ciara confirmed the letter was, indeed, written by her. She said the letter came from her heart, truly telling how she felt about Jive Records. Ciara wanted to talk to her fans and let them know where she is in life. She remains confident that everything will work out for the best.

Ciara wants off Jive Records

Early in her career, Ciara posted multiple hits for Jive Records, but has struggled recently. When she was a young girl singing provocative lyrics, Ciara was extremely popular. But, when she transitioned into full adulthood, her popularity waned.

In 2006, Ciara released "Promise" and the remix featured R. Kelly and rumors began about the two dating. The rumors proved to be false, however, soon stories about her and 50 Cent came. Jive had issues with her being around 50 Cent.

On the heels of her 2007 album, Ciara announced her next release, Fantasy Ride. The album suffered from a lack of promotion at the hands of Jive Records. During the same year, newcomer, Keri Hilson, experienced tremendous success.

Because she had been with Jive Records for over five years, Ciara hoped things would be different when it was time to promote Basic Instinct. Sadly, the result was the same and her sales were so low that she became a laughingstock in the eyes of some. Ciara defended herself, saying she does not care about album sales. However, the low sales of her album have Ciara looking for an out.

Recently, there was news of Jive Records dropping Ciara from their roster. Ciara addressed the news, saying she had not been dropped from the label. However, she is highly upset with Jive Records and she does want to be released from her contract with them. Ciara admitted to having good times with the label, but said they left her on her own on her last two albums. She paid for promotion out of pocket.

Tired of being mistreated by Jive Records, Ciara wants to be released so she can move on with her career.
