Rihanna dines with Drake in Montreal

After her split from Chris Brown, Rihanna began dating Drake for a few months. But, before the end of the summer of 2009, they decided they were better off as friends. The media attempted to drive a wedge between Drake and Chris Brown over Rihanna.

While the two both had romantic history with Rihanna, the two had no history with each other. Drake repeatedly said he had no problems with Chris Brown. Having worked in two different environments, they did not know each other.

Before the end of 2010, Drake and Chris Brown hit it off, closing the year with Drake recording a verse for "Deuces (remix)." The year also featured a reunion between Drake and Rihanna. It was then when Rihanna said she and Drake would always be friends.

Last night, Rihanna visited Drake's home country, Canada, and the two had dinner in Montreal. Despite only being friends, Rihanna said she always wants Drake to be a part of her life. The two were staying at the same hotel, but left at different times and met up at the restaurant for dinner later on.
