Common responds to Sarah Palin and Fox News

When Michelle Obama invited Common to a poetry event at the White House, it appeared to be a nice gesture between hip hop and politics. Surely, no one expected the outrage from the right-wing politicians that soon followed. Sarah Palin has been very vocal about Common being in the White House.

Common was very critical of former president, George W. Bush, calling him out in one of his songs. When Palin discovered he would be at the poetry event, she posted on Twitter. She made a sarcastic remark about the White House and linked to a conservative article about Common.

Michelle Obama and the White House have yet to respond to the comments made by Palin. Common has held his silence long enough. Through Twitter, Common laughed and asked for a link to Sarah Palin's post about him. The Chicago rapper joked of how he woke up to find himself on the "shitlist" of former Alaska governor, Sarah Palin.

Common jokingly said "so apparently Sarah Palin and Fox News don't like me."
