Naturi Naughton cast as Playboy Bunny in NBC series

NBC is continuing to add black faces to its lineup with the addition of former 3LW star, Naturi Naughton. With the ratings being down for almost a decade, NBC is beginning to make changes. Most of the changes have dealt with the faces on the programs. For the past two years, NBC has been adding more black faces.

Naughton has been cast as the star in the new "Playboy" series, based on 1963 Chicago. The former teen star has been cast as the role of 'Brenda.' 'Brenda' is described as a stunning woman who desires to become the first black centerfold in Playboy history. Her co-star will be Amber Heard.

In 2009, Naturi Naughton was cast in the role of Lil' Kim in the Notorious film. The role in the movie was her biggest since her short time spent with 3LW. In 2002, the group dissolved after a partnership with Disney and Raven-Symone led to the formation of The Cheetah Girls. Naughton was let go during this transition.

However, with a starring role on an NBC drama, Naturi Naughton appears to be getting back on her feet depending on how well the show does.
