Kelly Rowland talks Love for Hip Hop and Kanye West

Despite not being in front of the spotlight anymore, Kelly Rowland has been paying attention. In 2002, she took a bold step in her career and it paid off. She and her rumored boyfriend, Nelly, teamed up for "Dilemma." The song ended up topping the Billboard Hot 100 and helped her debut album go platinum.

Because she exceed expectations on her first album, critics have expected Kelly Rowland to excell on each album. Instead, she has declined a bit with each album. Her quality of music is strong and she has grown as an artist. But, Rowland fails to capture fans the way artists, such as Rihanna, have.

Still, Kelly Rowland is working on new music and she has been following hip hop. She said she has love for Waka Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane. Recently, Rowland was asked about her dream hip hop collaboration and she said she would work with them. Even though they have been criticized for their lack of lyrical exhibition, Kelly Rowland would still love to record music with them.

Kelly Rowland went on to say she would love to work with Kanye West. Despite being around him over the past eight years, she has yet to work with him. However, Rowland plans to change this sometime before the end of next year.
