Another big break has landed in the hands of Terrence Howard, as his role on "Law & Order: Los Angeles" is set to expand. The series recently cut the role of co-star, Skeet Ulrich. Many other primary characters were cut from the new series.

During the summer of 2010, NBC announced a shakeup with their schedule. First, the network announced they were no longer airing new episodes of "Law & Order." While ending the flagship show, they announced a Los Angeles spin-off.

Last July, NBC announced Terrence Howard as one of the characters on the show. Howard was cast to play the role of deputy district attorney, Joe Dekker. For the most part, Dekker has had a minor role with the show.

Terrence Howard has a major opportunity on his hands with the recent cast shakeup. In the past, Howard has shown he can be a star. Initially, he was cast in movies in supporting roles, but when he was cast for 2005's Hustle & Flow, his career forever changed. But, since that time, Terrence Howard has fallen back into the shadows. This could be his time to shine with the chance the cast cuts have given him.
