Shava Jay prepares Sophomore Album, "As I Evolve"

Having been on the underground scene for years, Shava Jay is determined to become a house hold name. The singer/songwriter from Flint, Michigan has been busy building her catalog and doing numerous features over the past year. Shava Jay is hoping all of this hard work will soon pay off, as she is heavily involved in the emerging Baton Rouge, Louisiana hip hop scene.

The Michigan talent has done a total of 26 features in 2010 all of which can be found on the internet. Shava Jay is currently finishing up her sophmore album, entitled As I Evolve, which is mix of new and old school R&B. The album is for the grown and the sexy, and the young and sophisticated.

Writing about daily experiences of a young woman coming into her own, Shava Jay paints a clear picture with every line she writes. Her soft soulful voice eludes great emotion. The classic underground album, entitled Pen, Paper & Lyrics, shows Shava Jay finding out what love is. With this project "As I Evolve," you can hear and feel the maturity and growth in every song. Shava Jay will soon be a household name behind the buzz of her single, "Human."

The album will be released sometime in the first half of 2011.
