Two years ago, The CW Television Network cancelled the long-running series, "Girlfriends," and moved "Everybody Hates Chris" and "The Game" to Friday nights. After the season, both shows were removed from the schedule.
While Chris Rock gracefully bowed out and ended his series, Black America stepped up for "The Game." Nearly every black celebrity wore t-shirts that read "Save The Game." BET had began aring reruns of the show that were well-received.
Throughout the summer of 2009, there were multiple reports of BET picking up "The Game." Each time the rumors were confirmed, someone came back and denied the rumors. With all of the back-and-forth, interest in another season of "The Game" soon waned and the people moved on. However, back in April of this year, BET broke the news, themselves, about bringing the show back for another season.
Opting to wait until after the fall television season, BET announced "The Game" would not return until sometime in 2011. Recently, news broke about the series returning for a fourth season on January 11, 2010.
