Olivia has New Album and Reality Show on Deck

Olivia has never been given a fair chance in her career. Many people do not know about her history. It was Olivia, not Alicia Keys, that was the first artist signed to J Records. Her debut album was released in 2001, but it did not sell very well. Because of the low record sales, Olivia was dropped from the J roster.
Fast forward three years and 50 Cent was still on his mission to take everything from Ja Rule. As successful as 50 Cent was, he lacked a sidekick. Rule had remained relevant during his feud with G-Unit because of his duets with Ashanti. 50 Cent would sign Olivia in hopes of her becoming their version of Ashanti in early 2004.
In an effort to be a part of G-Unit, Olivia altered her style. Early on, things were great for her. She was featured to the chart-topping hit by 50 Cent, "Candy Shop." But, following the success of that single, her career slowly fell apart. In 2006, she and 50 Cent reunited for "Best Friend." That song would become a minor hit.
By 2007, 50 Cent realized that Olivia was not going to be successful on G-Unit Records. After realizing that fact, 50 Cent decided to drop her from the label. Initially, he said that it had nothing to do with a feud, however, he did hint at her having a lesbian relationship with Missy Elliott. Neither Olivia or Missy took the bait and Olivia thanked 50 Cent for the opportunity that he provided her with. Following her departure from the label, G-Unit hit hard times and they soon found themselves off of Interscope Records.
Recently, 50 Cent has rehashed some of his griveances with Olivia. He said that he spent $2 million on her and he never received a return on his investment. Along with having some choice names to call Olivia, a feud was sparked. Following the verbal beating that 50 Cent gave her through the media, Olivia responded to the charges that he made against her. Starting off, she said that he had never invested that much money in her career. Olivia stated that if he did invest $2 million that he should have invested $4 million.
Acknowledging that fact that 50 Cent did take a chance on her that no one else would, Olivia has decided not to enter a war of words the the G-Unit general. Instead, she is going to move forward with her career without mentioning 50 Cent. Her long-awaited second album is currently set for release later this year. For the album, she has recruited some of the biggest names in the game. Ironically, Olivia will have work from Missy Elliott, along with Timbaland, a frequent collaborator of 50 Cent.
In an effort to move her career along, Olivia also has plans to create a reality show with VH1. She said that the network had approached her last year, but she turned them down. Now that she has a new album on the way, Olivia decided to rethink that choice. This untitled show will deal with Olivia restarting her music career. Saying that she does not want to reveal too much, she said that there is a bidding war going on with four labels who want her services. There are no labels who have publicly pursued her.
