Terrell Owens is done in Buffalo

Wednesday, March 3, 2010

Last year around this time, the Dallas Cowboys told their star wide receiver, Terrell Owens that they were not going to re-sign him. The news hurt Owens, but he was ready to move on with his career. The team expected much more from Terrell Owens when they had signed him in 2006. Media, fans, and critics expected the Cowboys to become contenders for a Super Bowl, but instead, they only became worse as a team.

The Buffalo Bills offered a one-year contract to Terrell Owens. With that last chance, Owens planned to surprise everyone. Not much was expected out of the new-look Bills. But, when they took the field, they dominated the New England Patriots for most of the game. Some were convinced that the team may be contenders after all, but after they lost that game and posted a horrible record, no one gave the Bills a chance.

There were some bright spots for Terrell Owens during the 2009 season, but for the most part, he began to show his age. At 36-years-old, Owens is just a bit too old to be chasing a football up and down the field. Recently, the Buffalo Bills broke to Owens the same news that the Dallas Cowboys had just one year before. Now, Terrell Owens is one of the many free agents during this offseason in the NFL. Chad Ochocinco, of the Cincinatti Bengals, wants T.O. to join him so that they can creat a wide receiver duo. While on ESPN, Ochocinco said that if Owens was on their team that they would immediately become Super Bowl contenders.
