Despite being a successful actor, Drake always had dreams of becoming a big-time rapper. The moves Drake made are opposite of what most aspiring rapper make. Most rappers begin making music and branch out into acting. Drake began his career acting and moved into rapping.
Now, Drake is retracing his steps, as he is returning to acting for the first time since "Degrassi." However, this time around, Drake will be in the movies. The Toronto star will be aligning with the likes of Al Pacino, among others, for the film, Arbitrage. Pacino plays a fund magnate under investigation.
The film is an independent financial thriller that also stars Susan Sarandon. Currently, the movie is in pre-production. The actual filming is not going to take place until 2012. The release of the film will not be until sometime late in 2012. In the meantime, Drake is remaining focused on his music career, which is becoming more valuable by the minute.
With the summer right around the corner, Drake is wrapping up his second album, Take Care. Despite his name being on the list for Arbitrage, Drake has yet to commit to the new film. He plans to release his second album sometime during the summer of 2011.
