Darryl McRoberts, best known as DMC of the legendary hip hop group, Run-DMC is back in the news. Throughout the 1980s, he stayed in the headlines. At the time, DMC was one of the most-popular rappers in the game. But, he has been forgotten as time has gone on.

There have been times when DMC has had exposure, but they are few and far between. Over thirty years after his initial run, exposure is coming for DMC. The rapper will be starring as a crime boss in the upcoming film, Hard Luck. After a discussion with the film's creator, Dave Gere, they agreed to a deal.

Hard Luck will be DMC's acting debut. He has maintained a friendship with Gere for some time. Their discussion turned to acting and Gere promised to put him in the film. In order to gain experience for his friend, he has given DMC the starring role in the film. Despite this being his first time starring in a film, DMC is confident he will do well.

DMC will be starring opposite former wrestler Diamond Dallas Page. In 2006, Page made news for suing rapper Jay-Z for his excessive use of the "diamond." He insists he invented the hand gesture and did have it trademarked. The wrestler insisted that Jay-Z had used the sign for profit. Filming for Hard Luck has already began in Connecticut. The film will be promoted at various festivals upon its release.
