Nicki Minaj covers Right On! and Fader magazines

Monday, March 8, 2010

Things are heating up for Nicki Minaj. A lot of pressure is being placed upon the shoulders of the new rapper. With Lil Wayne being off to prison for the remainder of the year, it will be up to her to keep Young Money relevant. Also, for the past few years, the female rap game has struggled, too. The only female rapper to have any success over the past few months has been Minaj. That is one of the reasons why all of those hopes are also being pinned to the rising star.

Nicki Minaj insists that she is more than a body and a pretty face, but that is what most people know her for. Her fan base is full of men, most of which have never even heard her rap before. She has assured the critics that this will change once her music is released. Minaj is sure that she can keep her male fan base and pick up some women fans when she releases her album. While her skills may keep her in the public eye, her body is definitely what brought her out.

Before the release of her debut album, Nicki Minaj will be on the cover of both Right On! and Fader magazines. On the Right On! cover, she displays herself as a black barbie. She took the photos for the magazine back in November, but Right On! is quarterly. In the magazine, she talks about her weird fashion styles and the faces that she makes. Meanwhile, on Fader, she speaks about her rap style and how it reflects her personality. Both magazines hit newsstands this week.
