Matthew Knowles honored by "Sister 2 Sister"

Sister 2 Sister magazine celebrated their 22nd anniversary last night and they did it in style. Their event was filled with stars and was hosted by BET's Terrence J and "The Real Housewives of Atlanta"s Kandi. All of the heavy-hitters in black entertainment were there, including Matthew Knowles.

Despite a recent drop in his popularity, Knowles has provided a lot to the entertainment world. Had it not been for him, there would have never been Destiny's Child. The girl group was insanely popular during the late 1990s and into the early 200s. It would be safe to say Beyonce and Kelly Rowland would not be in their position had it not been for the group.

Because of his accomplishments in the music industry, Knowles was honored by the legendary publication. Destiny's Child has graced their pages many times and the girls, as solo acts, have also been featured multiple times in the magazine. From time-to-time, even Matthew and his ex-wife, Tina, have been featured on the pages of the long-running Sister 2 Sister. For his accomplishments, the magazine has decided to honor Matthew Knowles for the night.

Usher and Tameka are friends

During his hiatus, Usher went off and built a family. He married an older woman, Tameka Foster, who was a mother of three. Despite warnings from his mother, Usher still married her and gave her two more sons. After a two-year marriage, Usher had enough of her and prepared his divorce, which led to the song, "Papers."

Ever since the couple divorced, Usher has been back in the eye of the public. The release of Raymond v. Raymond made him the biggest name in R&B again. Now that he is back in rotation, the gossip magazines and websites have had a field day. Earlier this year, the questions about Tamkea came and Usher handled them easily.

Tameka Foster also spoke about her relationship with Usher and she said it was great mainly due to the children. Foster went on to state both of her childrens' fathers have great relationships with her and with each other. The most important thing to the adults in the childrens' lives is that they have a stable family life. Often, all eight of them are together having family events.

Even through everything that has happened, Usher and Tameka have remained as friends.

Cleveland tells LeBron James what he should do

Earlier this year, LeBron James made a decision to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers because he felt as if he could not lead them to an NBA championship. After playing in the NBA for seven years, James had become the most-popular player in the league and the NBA had forged a rivalry between James, of the East, and superstar Kobe Bryant, of the West. Their rivalry was marketing genius and brought in tons of money for everyone involved.

LeBron James gave all of this up when he decided to join Dwyane Wade's team, the Miami Heat. Four years ago, Wade led the Heat to an NBA title in only his third season. For a brief moment, Dwyane Wade was the most-popular player in the league. But, after this season, James led his Cavaliers to dominance over the Eastern Conference, posting one of the top four records each season. In his final two Cleveland seasons, he won the MVP award and led the team to the NBA's best record.

Despite all of the acclaim and accomplishments, James left Cleveland and rubbed it in the faces of the fans that adored him. That, not his race, or the team he went to, is the reason the media has not forgiven him. He was a part of a multimillion dollar marketing campaign based out of the small market of Cleveland, but still the star of the show. After burning jerseys and threatening his life, the former fans of LeBron James have finally put their thoughts together.

R. Kelly wanted "Best of Both Worlds" with Tupac not Jay-Z

By 2001, Jay-Z was clearly the king of the rap world and R. Kelly had established himself as the don of R&B. While rappers often had singers like R. Kelly do hooks and singers often featured rappers on their songs, hip hop and R&B had never really had a marriage. But, in 2001, this all changed when Jay-Z and R. Kelly teamed up for their Best of Both Worlds album.

Upon its release, the album did not live up to any of the expectations pinned on it. With Jay-Z being the top hip hop exec and with Def Jam behind him, the people expected more. R. Kelly was also a major player over at Sony, so the promotion was expected to be more potent than it was. Their combination was hyped with Jay-Z's verse on the remix of "Fiesta."

However, only a platinum album came from their collaboration and there were rumors of friction between the two parties. At the time, both Jay-Z and R. Kelly tried to dispel any rumors of a feud. In an effort to calm things down, they reunited for another disappointing album in 2004, during Jay-Z's "retirement." Following their second time trying to collaborate, things became violent during their tour. Because of the fight that took place between the Roc-A-Fella camp and R. Kelly, Kels quit the tour and Ja Rule had to fill in for him.

Now, six years following the fallout between Jay-Z and R. Kelly, Kelly has decided to open up on why things did not go as planned. Yes, in 2001, Jay-Z was the king of the rap game, but when Jay-Z was still trying to break into the game, Tupac was dominating the rap scene and R. Kelly was solidifying himself as the man in the R&B game. Before Tupac's untimely death, in 1996, he had talked with R. Kelly about the possibility of doing a rap meets R&B-type album. After a bit of discussion, the two agreed to do an album they would call Best of Both Worlds. The first record from the album was to be "I Wish."

Instead of coming out late in 2000, the song was supposed to be recorded in 1997, but Tupac's death, obviously, caused the song to go unreleased. But, going forward with his career, R. Kelly eventually recorded the track and it became one of his biggest hits. Another song off the album, "Fiesta," led to Jay-Z calling and the Best of Both Worlds project coming out anyway.

Kanye West avoids Kim Kardashian rumors

Ever since he and Amber Rose broke up last summer and the famous Kim Kardashian broke up with Reggie Bush around the same time, there have been rumors of Kanye West dating the reality superstar. With her new show, "Kourtney & Kim Take New York," set to air next month and West making a cameo, rumors are starting to fly.

This is nothing new for Kanye West and Kardashian. Even after he reunited with Rose, there were rumors of West having an altercation with Reggie Bush. Many sites reported that Bush had started dating Rose, while Kim had moved on to Kanye. It has been a year's worth of rumors and West plays coy.

Recently, the question of a relationship with Kim Kardashian came up again. Kanye West is no stranger to the camera and he loves rumors. While he has not admitted to dating Kim Kardashian, he will not come out and say that he is not dating her. Kanye West is one public figure who learned how to play the game and he has played it well since he made himself a public figure some seven years ago.

Most recently, he replied to the Kardashian question by saying "Man! I need to get on the internet more!"

Mario's mother drops Assault Charges

Early last month, shocking news broke about Mario. Multiple news outlets reported that the 24-year-old singer had assaulted his mother. Over the years, Mario had always displayed himself as an overall good guy, so the news came from left field. But, a follow-up story made things clearer.

Mario's mother, Shawnita Hardaway, has a history of using drugs and she had promised her son she would stay clean. But, she had gone back on her promise. At the time, she was high and Mario was fighting her off of him. Nevertheless, she filed charges against him and Mario was sent to jail.

The Baltimore singer was charged with second degree assault and put under $50,000 bond. However, Hardaway has now come forward with a different story. As previously mentioned in this article, she admitted to being high at the time. Shawnita Hardaway now says Mario never laid a hang against her.

Now clear of all charges, Mario has come forward saying he will do all that he can to help his mother get past her longtime addiction.

Janet Jackson wants to Start a Family

Frequently, there are rumors surrounding all of the celebrities as media outlets are always looking for ways to gain more viewership. Janet Jackson understands this more than anyone as her late brother, Michael was a famous victim of the media. Due to her being not only a Jackson, but also flamboyant, Janet has also been targeted by the media.

Over the years, there have been rumors about who she dates and what she is into. But, throughout her long career in music, film, and television, Janet Jackson has been involved in only a few pregnancy rumors. Unlike many other females in the game, Janet has avoided having children by the many men she has either married or dated.

But, at the age of 44, Jackson does want to start a family. She grew up with a big family and she has always wanted a lot of children herself. However, with no plans of marrying her current boyfriend and age catching up to her, the odds are against her. Janet Jackson understands this better than anyone and she said if it is God's will it will happen. She does realize it may not be God's plan for her to have children, but she hopes and prays that it is.

Mariah Carey talks pregnancy, jokes about Jay-Z and Beyonce

Ever since the start of this year, there have been rumors of Mariah Carey being pregnant. Each time anyone asked Carey about carrying a child, she denied the rumors. But, after Alicia Keys gave birth to a child with Swizz Beatz, MiMi had some news of her own.

Last week, Mariah Carey admitted that she was pregnant with Nick Cannon's child. In the time since she dropped the news, the entertainment sites have been buzzing. Now, with everything out in the open, Mariah Carey has been discussing her pregnancy quite often.

Recently, there have also been rumors of Beyonce being pregnant with Jay-Z's baby. Ever since the couple married, in 2008, many sites have floated rumors about the billionaire hip hop couple expecting. But, right when the rumors gain traction, either Jay-Z, Beyonce, or both come out and deny the pregnancy. However, recently, Beyonce's mother, Tina denied that her daughter was pregnant, saying instead she was. Initially, it was taken as a joke, but some people thought the rumors were true and she has spent the past few weeks cleaning that up.

Meanwhile, Mariah Carey decided to have some fun with her news. She said, hopefully when her child gets older, he or she could possibly date the child Jay-Z and Beyonce are expecting. While Carey made the comment, she was well aware that Beyonce is not expecting a child. In an effort to avoid controversy with the powercouple, Mariah Carey has made it clear she was only joking around with the couple.

Tameka "Tiny" Cottle charged with Drug Possession

Back in September, T.I. and Tiny ran into law troubles in Los Angeles when they were caught with drugs in their vehicle. Fresh out of prison, T.I. is facing a return to prison for eleven months. While he is going back to prison, T.I. will not be facing drug charges. Tiny will not be so lucky.

When the story first broke, rapper 50 Cent advised Tiny to take the fall completely. 50 felt that she would get off with a lighter sentence because she is a woman. But, even if she did not get off light, 50 said it should be her duty, seeing how T.I. just got out of prison. Tiny did not take anyone's fall, but she is in trouble.

With T.I. headed back to prison and Tiny also being in trouble with the law, their children may have to find somewhere else to live. The couple have six children overall and all six may have to relocate if both parents are forced behind bars. Even if Tiny does not end up going to prison, she may be forced to give the children up.

However, there is the possibility of the court sentencing the couple at different dates, so the children keep at least one parent in their lives.
